Can we feed animals during the trek?

Absolutely not. Feeding wildlife is strictly prohibited as it may endanger both animals and trekkers.

Yes, there are good stay facilities in the Phansad wildlife sanctuary at Supegaon Parytan Sankul. Leopard House, Garambi Hut, White House offers comfortable stay facilities with attached toilet

Yes, photography is permitted, but the use of flash, spotlights, or drones is not allowed. Commercial shoots require prior approval.

Clean Public Washrooms are available at Supegaon Parytan Sankul.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes in earthy tones (Green, Brown, Grey). Avoid bright colors like Red or Yellow as they can disturb the animals.

Yes, visitors can now book a guide in advance for their visit to Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary. Hiring a guide helps you explore the forest trails safely and increases your chances of spotting wildlife while learning about the sanctuary’s ecosystem.

  • Guides assist with trail navigation, wildlife spotting, and sharing information about flora and fauna inside the sanctuary.

What are the entry timings?

The sanctuary is open every day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We recommend arriving by 6:30 AM for the best birdwatching opportunities

No. To protect the wildlife, private vehicles are only allowed up to the parking lot at the Supegaon gate. 

No. Phansad is a “Digital Detox” zone. Mobile range is very weak or non-existent once you enter the deep forest trails.

Guides are not mandatory but are highly recommended. Local guides know the secret hiding spots of the Sri Lanka Frogmouth and the Giant Squirrel, which are very hard to spot on your own.

Yes, but a refundable deposit of ₹50 per plastic item will be collected at the entry. This is refunded when the plastic item is returned at the exit gate. Littering is strictly prohibited.
